Welcoming our Executive Director

We’re excited to introduce the newest member of the Louisa Education Foundation team! Lacey Dabbs brings more than a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, operations, and fundraising. She most recently served as President of United Way of Alamance County in North Carolina, and her work has consistently focused on strengthening organizational impact through relationship-building and collaborative partnerships.

Lacey holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Multidisciplinary Studies from West Virginia University, and earned her Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Syracuse University in 2014. In 2020, she achieved the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential, underscoring her commitment to professional excellence.

She and her husband, Dwayne—an Agronomy Sales Territory Manager with EverGro—recently relocated to Louisa County and are thrilled to call this welcoming community home. Outside of work, Lacey enjoys attending local festivals and concerts, discovering new restaurants, and tackling DIY home projects.

Lacey is honored to join the Louisa Education Foundation and looks forward to expanding opportunities for students and educators.
