Dominion Energy Grant Supports Local Education

The Louisa Education Foundation is grateful to receive a $5,000 grant from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation, which awards funding annually in four focus areas: human needs, environmental stewardship, education, and community vitality. We are honored to be included in their continued support of organizations strengthening communities through education.

This grant supports the Foundation’s work to foster classroom innovation, support student well-being, and expand opportunities for Louisa County Public Schools students. This grant supports our three core programs:

Teacher Grants
We fund innovative, teacher-led classroom projects that create engaging, hands-on learning experiences. For example the 24 Game Challenge and Division Tournament, which helped students in grades 2–8 strengthen math fluency and problem-solving skills.

Student Success
In partnership with school counselors, we provide essential supplies and personal care items that remove barriers to learning. This program ensures students have what they need to fully participate in school, including CTE materials and basic necessities.

Senior Scholarships
We provide scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing college, skilled trades, or other career pathways.

This support comes at a pivotal time as the Foundation continues to grow its impact, strengthened by expanded capacity and community partnerships. We are deeply appreciative of the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation’s investment in local education.
