2019 LOUISA EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS - $5,000 Allocated
Multiple scholarships usually ranging between $500 and $1000 each.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all graduates planning to attend a four-year college or university, community college or technical school who clearly
exemplify strength of character and who, in the spirit of school citizenship, demonstrate successful academic achievement, actively participate
in school and community activities and  exhibit potential for post-secondary success.  Number and amounts of awards to be determined
during selection process.
DUE DATE:   Monday, April 1, 2019, by 3:30 p.m. in the LCHS Counseling Office   

BRIAN M. HUFFMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $5,000   (Donor Selects)
Given by BIOCAT, Inc. to honor the memory of a beloved employee and Green Springs District representative on the Louisa County School
Board from 2002-2013.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicant plans to attend a two- or four-year college or university and clearly demonstrates financial need to do so; has a 2.5 GPA
or higher and active in school and community activities with proven leadership capabilities in volunteer or other capacities and a willingness to
participate in an interview with BIO-CAT's recipient selection committee.  This scholarship will be disbursed by semester in two equal
installments of $2,500.

WOMEN OF BLUE RIDGE SHORES SCHOLARSHIP - $500
Donated by the Women's Club of the Blue Ridge Shores Community.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicant should provide evidence of successful academic achievement and potential for success at a two- or four year college or
university or technical school, participation in school and community activities, good school citizenship and a need for financial assistance to
pursue post-high school education.

THE 2019 JOANNE WHALEN MEMORIAL LCHS PTSA SCHOLARSHIP - $500 (Donor Selects)
To honor the memory of a proud LCHS parent and supporter of PTSA.
ELIGIBILITY: Graduate planning to attend either a two- or four-year college or university or a trade or technical school; application’s emphasis is
to be placed on providing clear, documented evidence of school and community service and composition of a 200-word essay on a topic chosen
by the PTSA.
DUE DATE:  Monday, April 1, 2019, by 3:30 p.m. to the LCHS Counseling Office

2019 LEF CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK  ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP - $500
Given in honor of Coach Jerry Cutright and his coaching assistants.
ELIGIBILITY: Must have earned at least six (6) Varsity letters in any combination of Cross Country, Indoor Track or Outdoor Track; must be
ranked in top 20% of graduating class; should be planning to attend a two- or four-year college or university and demonstrate need for
financial assistance.

MICHELLE DIANE JIVIDEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP -  $500
To honor the memory of Michelle Diane Jividen, Former LCPS School Psychologist.
ELIGIBILITY: A worthy senior with career aspirations in the field of elementary or secondary education; submission of an application/essay
sharing those aspirations and who or what inspired them to choose this path; should provide evidence of service to school, church and/or
community as well as need for financial assistance to attend a two- or four-year college or university to pursue stated educational
goals.

2019 KYLE ANDERSON LEADERSHIP AWARD - Two Awards of $2,500 Each (Donor Selects)
In memory of Kyle Wesley Anderson, Class of 2014
ELIGIBILITY: Applicant must be committed to attending Virginia Tech in the Fall of 2019; should demonstrate strong character and a balance of
academic achievement, extracurricular and/or athletic participation during high school with specific emphasis upon leadership role(s) in the
school, community and/or home community.   Applications for 2019's two awards of $2,500 each will include an essay, references and
potentially an interview with the award's selection committee.

2019 MOSS-NUCKOLS ELEMENTARY PTA SCHOLARSHIP   (Donor Selects)
Remembering Mr. H.S. Moss and Mr. Harry Nuckols, for whom MNES is named.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicant must be a MNES alumni who attended all grades at MNES and who is planning to attend either a two- or four-year college
or university or a trade or technical school; emphasis to be placed on providing clear, documented evidence of school and community service
plus composition of a one-page essay on a topic chosen by the PTA.
